Doc Rivers may be “overcoaching” the Milwaukee Bucks, at least that was what former Golden State Warriors and three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas thinks of the head coach, talking about the overall performance of the team so far and how he utilizes the players under his leadership.
The topic of why the Milwaukee Bucks may be performing poorly this season has been up for debate for quite some time now. People have always raised the question of why they cannot seem to figure out a good play, despite having star players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
Arenas believes this can all boil down to Doc Rivers overcoaching the team.
“I don’t know if it’s overcoaching, like alone just him (Giannis) and Dame should be able to win you games right?” Gills said, “Are you literally have to be trying to really coach them? Nah, you know when a motherf**cker coach try to coach too much.”
“Sometimes coaches overthink and they wanna micromanage everything and the micromanaging actually hurts your production,” he added. “I think this is what’s going on.”

This was not the first time that “Agent Zero” has expressed his disdain towards Doc Rivers, as he has previously blamed the head coach over the poor performance of the Bucks this season, citing how they are wasting the talent they have in Giannis Antetokounmpo.
“He should have been fired October 25th, when he lost to the Bulls by 11. That right there, it’s over, dawg,” Arenas said. “‘Hey man, no need to come to work no more, man.’ I don’t want to see him staying that then they trade Giannis. Like I’m gonna be nah man, ‘This *** is the devil.’ This is the team, deal with it. Nobody is going to get traded.”

Doc Rivers Fined $25,000 For Comments on Officiating
Doc Rivers was recently slapped with a fine worth $25,000 by the NBA. This was over the comments he made about the officiating that happened during the Bucks’ game with the Charlotte Hornets.
The official cause of the fine imposed on him was for “public criticism of the officiating,” as announced by NBA Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars.
The NBA also admitted, however, that the foul called on Giannis Antetokounmpo was a mistake. This foul led to a free throw for Hornets LeMello Ball, which gave the latter’s team the lead on Bucks that they were not able to recover from, as there were only seconds left of the game.
Doc Rivers is set to lead the Bulls in their next game, this time against the Chicago Bulls.
