President Donald Trump might not be the best leader for the nation as per many, but is certainly better than someone like Stephen A. Smith according to Nick Wright. Wright has been dropping controversial statements for some time now and it looks like the analyst is not a big fan of SAS becoming POTUS.
While Wright did not drop any strong reasons for the same, he did highlight the fact that SAS is a celebrity, while President Trump was already an icon in the nation way before he made it to the White House.
“People say he (Trump) was famous for real estate. He was famous for being famous. He was famous for being famous and understood television, the really uniquely gifted at understanding what marketing, what moves the American people. And that is a political trait. But it didn’t used to be the defining one. If we were to go from President Trump, to President Stephen A. Smith, then that is what what the office becomes. It’s almost like a version of, like, the royal family in England. … If the next president is a celebrity turned politician, then I think that’s what Presidents will be from there on. I don’t think that’s what’s best for the nation.” Nick Wright said.
Stephen A. Smith did not exactly confirm his running for President against Donald Trump, but it seems like the veteran analyst might actually run for the position sometime in the future. Smith seems to be leaning towards the Democratic side in terms of his views.
President Donald Trump To Have Airport Named After Him
In other news, President Donald Trump will soon have a whole airport named after him. A day earlier, Florida approved a bill to rename the Palm Beach International Airport as the ‘President Donald J. Trump International Airport.’
President Trump clearly has a penchant of leaving his name on many buildings and institutions. It seems like the POTUS is hoping to leave his memory in the nation forever, even if his ratings might be among the worst for a President. The Trump administration has definitely got trolled mercilessly, with even many MAGA fans doing a complete 180-degree turnaround on their political views after the POTUS got re-elected.
