Following the results of the 2024 US presidential election, with Donald Trump earning the right to assume his second term as commander-in-chief, former ESPN analyst Sage Steele took to social media to share her thoughts on the results.

Steele joined ESPN in 2007 as a host of “SportsCenter.” She would go on to be an analyst for other programs, including “NBA Countdown.” Facing scrutiny within the media organization due to her political stance, she would stay with the company until the summer of 2023, her tenure lasting nearly a decade.

She posted a video on X (which was deleted long after), sharing why the Republican presidential candidate came out on top of the polls.

“This is what happens when you push people to the brink,” Steele said in the video. “This is what happens when you choose to divide instead of bring together.”

“This is what happens when you try to ruin America. You get an uprising and you get people saying enough is enough,” she added.

Following incumbent president Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the election, vice president Kamala Harris was chosen late in the game to be the standard bearer of the Democratic party. She went against Republican bet Donald Trump, who was eyeing another term as president. All of America hit the polls on Tuesday, resulting in Donald Trump winning.

Steve Kerr reacts to Donald Trump’s victory

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had an interesting response to president-elect Donald Trump over vice president Kamala Harris in his pregame news conference on Wednesday.

An outspoken critic of Donald Trump, Kerr previously spoke at the Democratic National Convention earlier this year. On Wednesday night, the Warriors coach took some not-so-subtle jabs at the new president-apparent.

“I believe in democracy and the American people have spoken and voted for Trump,” Kerr told reporters. “I want him to do well the next four years. I want our country to do well. I’m just thankful that there wasn’t any voting fraud this time. Last time, I mean, all those illegal immigrants who crashed the border, raped and murdered people and then voted six times, that was unfortunate. But thankfully this time everything was clean. So, it’s great that every election has been really valid except for that last one four years ago. Twinkle in my eye as I say that in case you couldn’t see it.”

Despite the sarcasm, Kerr hopes that the next four years will change the country for the better as Trump promised.

The Warriors improved their record to 7-1 after defeating the Boston Celtics 118-112.
