President Donald Trump could have yet an additional opponent for the presidency, should he ultimately decide to make a third run for the position in the coming elections, as entrepreneur and former Mavs majority owner Mark Cuban expressed his interest in the run.
In a recent talk with ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, Mark Cuban said that he might consider running for the highest office if President Donald Trump were to eventually do a third run at it, too.

“I don’t want to be president. That is not my lifetime goal,” Cuban said. “The only way I would run is if Donald Trump tried to run for a third term because that would be wrong in my opinion. That’s the only thing that would get me to run.”

In his previous statements, Cuban had repeatedly stated that he is neither a Republican nor a Democrat. Rather, the “Shark Tank” host has consistently stated that he is politically independent.
Even his interviewee, Stephen A. Smith, had expressed intent to run for president in the coming election. Smith even got an endorsement from President Trump. Like Cuban, Smith maintained that he is independent and has historically criticized both Trump and the Democratic Party.
Donald Trump Doubles Down on Economic Record
President Donald Trump defended his economic record and outlook in interviews this week, insisting his policies are driving a stronger economy in his second term even as recent gubernatorial and legislative losses signaled voter dissatisfaction with affordability issues.

Trump framed his stewardship as a continuation and improvement of the gains from his first term and pushed back against criticism that Americans are still feeling economic pain.
The electoral setbacks in Virginia and New Jersey underscored those concerns, with Democratic victories centered on messages about rising costs and everyday affordability that echoed national polling showing many voters doubt the administration’s handling of inflation.
Political allies, including Newt Gingrich, described the president’s stance as a calculated gamble that economic measures such as tariffs, tax cuts, and domestic investment will produce a visible boom by next summer
Administration officials argue that policy effects take time and that tangible improvements will vindicate the approach, but the comparison to Joe Biden’s earlier missteps on messaging around inflation highlights the political risk of appearing out of touch with voters’ pocketbook concerns.
Donald Trump, in his recent statements, expressed his desire to run for another term, despite it being currently unconstitutional.
