Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is no. 7 in NBA among players with most technical fouls. That should be indicative of how he behaves in the court, right? The 4-time champion has a totally opposite statement.

Green went on his podcast and talked about a lot of recent in the NBA and one thing he focused on is Miami Heat’s 2024 44th pick Pelle Larsson. The Swedish guard has been making himself known lately with his increased play but one thing the Warriors player dwelled on is his heated moments with two American NBA stars.
Green accused Larsson of being a dirty player. Not just him but most European players in the league. He said this while also clearing his name.
“Pelle Larsson been in the mix a bit this week,” he said in his Draymond Show.
“Got into it with [Devin] Booker, then got into it with DeMar [DeRozan]. My take on that is I’ve played a bunch of Europeans — they do little dirty stuff.”
“People get mad at me and say ‘Draymond [is] dirty, I told y’all Draymond [is] dirty. Draymond will f–k you up. I don’t do dirty things. I played for Tom Izzo [in college at Michigan State]. If you did dirty things, it didn’t work.”

Green has been known in the league for playing physical and producing the most non-basketball fouls. There was one time he stomped on Domantas Sabonis and kicked Steven Adams on the groin. He also has a lot of incidences with Rudy Gobert. It is interesting that these players are non-Americans.
Draymond Green defends D-Book, Derozan
Green went on to say that anger that Booker and Derozan felt over Larsson was justified. He said the Heat youngster might have started it.
“For D Book and Demar to get mad like that he’s (Pelle) is doing something we ain’t see. To his credit, he got a tech on D Book and Demar thrown out,”
“If you going to keep doing that you gotta stay on that because people will start coming at you and that comes with a reputation. I don’t know Pelle Larsson to be that guy but if that’s who he’s going to be, commit and stay there because guys will start going at you like that.”

The Larsson-Derozan exchange was triggered by the latter’s hard foul while the former was on the air. Larsson defended himself that he was just talking to the Sacramento Kings star.
Kings coach Doug Christie told reporters that Derozan took out his frustration on the sophomore player and that it was just an accumulation of the missed calls and physicality he received from opponents.
