NBA legend Dwight Howard and his ex-wife, Amber Rose, had a recent “cheesing out” moment on social media that raised questions about their real relationship score.
In one of her recent posts on Instagram, Amber Rose, ex-wife of NBA legend Dwight Howard, posted a video where she gave small life updates.

“I really live a Princess life but mine got a few lil ghetto moments in there that makes the story better 💋,” Rose wrote on her post.

Under the comments, her ex-husband, Dwight, dropped by to show admiration.
“😍😍😍 cheesing hard 😁🤣,” Howard wrote. Amber replied with a lot of kisses emoji.
“I thought you two broke up 😂😂,” a fan wrote.
Amber Rose Howard, legally known as Amy Luciani, filed for divorce from former NBA star Dwight Howard on July 1, 2025, in a Georgia court, just six months after the couple’s January wedding. Court documents state the marriage is “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for reconciliation,” prompting Amber to seek a clean break from the 39-year-old athlete.
In addition to the divorce petition, Amber Rose made a case for a mutual restraining order, which was implemented the next day, and asked the court to fairly divide all marital belongings and property, as well as alimon, due to needing help financially as she begins her own life.
Attorneys say the mutual restraining order is mainly a formality of the uncontested dissolutions and simply provides boundaries while parties work out issues concerning assets and support.
Since the divorce filing, Dwight Howard has remained largely silent, focusing on his stint in Ice Cube’s Big3 League, while Amber has shared cryptic social media posts hinting at personal growth and resilience.
Dwight Howard Gives Message to Orlando Magic
Dwight Howard returned to Orlando Sunday in a big way, winning MVP at the BIG3 All-Star Game at Addition Financial Arena. The former Magic center scored 23 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for Team BIG and won at 51–41.

“I’m glad we got his win in front of my fans here, I’m just so happy to be at home,” Howard exclaimed after the game. “I love you Orlando!”

Howard’s MVP performance put on display what he did in eight seasons with the Magic, the team that picked him first overall in the 2004 draft. He was the leader of an Orlando team that made the only NBA Finals appearance in franchise history in 2009 and he went to six All-Star teams and won three consecutive Defensive Player of the Year awards from 2008-2011.

Following periods with six other NBA franchises, and securing a championship with the 2019–20 Lakers, Dwight Howard’s return to Orlando highlighted why he remains inextricably linked with Magic history.
