‘End of an Era?’ – Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Time With Bucks Gets Overanalyzed As 2021 Champ Is Accused of Faking Injury, Teammates’ Body Language With Him Viewed Off

It’s gloomy out there in the Milwaukee Bucks right now not only because of their awful record but mostly due to the looming possibility of them confronting the idea that Giannis Antetokounmpo is no longer their player.

What triggered it is the free falling of the Bucks (9-14 as of this writing) and then the Greek Freak sort of fed it with him removing his X posts from 2021 to 2025. His Instagram got cleaned, too, leaving only the posts about his family, paid ads, 2021 NBA title, and 2024 NBA Cup win.

Shams Charania then repeated the report he has been reporting for almost a decade – that Antetokounmpo wants to leave the team and asked fora trade.

They met the East’s no. 1 team Detroit Pistons and three minutes into the game, Giannis suffered a non-contact injury after making an assist to AJ Green. He just suddenly sat down on the floor after feeling something on his leg. He did not return to the game.

Fans fear it is an achilles which will mean a lengthy absence for him.

Some people are not convinced though. They thought he faked the injury.

What the Hell is this by Giannis? It’s more suspect because it’s a superstar. You don’t just see a 8th man go down like this. Seems fake pic.twitter.com/CVULjrLcdC

    Giannis Antetokounmpo’s bond with teammates

Those are huge accusations but fans have to deal with other things, too. Like his teammates not helping him walk.

Antetokounmpo going to the locker room by himself should be a good sign but some thought that the fact no one from his teammates helped him get there is a story.

The Giannis injury so fake he just doesn’t wanna play anymore with those trash teammates

Maybe it’s just them being more focused on the game which they won by just two possessions. Antetokounmpo should feel happy with this effort.

For now, coach Doc Rivers himself already said that there’s no truth to what Charania wrote and that they did not discuss any trades involving Antetokounmpo like what the reporter is insinuating.
