Outspoken Draymond Green got exposed for his double standard.

The Golden State Warriors forward caught serious heat after criticizing Jordan Poole’s reaction during the Mark Williams-Jose Alvarado fight. On his own show, Green raised the question of why Poole stood frozen while his Pelicans teammates threw hands.
In reply, former NBA player Eddie Johnson made it clear that he wasn’t having Green’s hypocritical question, coming with solid receipts.

Green didn’t hold back on “The Draymond Green Show” when breaking down the brawl between Mark Williams and Jose Alvarado.
Poole’s wide-eyed reaction has since gone viral online as his teammates exchanged punches during the Suns-Pelicans matchup. Reviewing the footage, Green called out his former teammate for not stepping in.
“We can’t be doing that,” Green said on the New Year’s special. “David West used to always tell us, if something is going on on the court, you go over there. Because you don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Green pressed his point about teammate loyalty, questioning what would happen if five guys jumped one player while everyone else stayed back. However, his lecture didn’t land well with everyone.
Johnson, who played 18 seasons in the league, fired back immediately. He torched Green for playing the victim card when he was the aggressive personality in his own situation.
“So based on your rhetoric, the entire Warrior team should have jumped you when you punched a young Jordan Poole? Just asking?” Johnson posted.

His hypocrisy note smacked harder than Green’s haymaker. October 2022 changed everything for the Warriors when Green walked up to Poole during a preseason practice after a verbal spat. Poole shoved him away with both hands and Green responded with a vicious right cross that sent Poole crashing to the floor.
The punch fractured the defending champions’ locker room. Video of the incident leaked and spread like wildfire. Warriors brass chose to fine Green but didn’t suspend him for any games. The NBA didn’t hand down any discipline either.
Warriors eventually shipped Poole to Washington for Chris Paul in 2023, but Green stayed in the Golden and Blue territory. Now he’s out here preaching about teammate loyalty while forgetting he’s the reason his former running mate got traded. Johnson made it clear that Green may want to forget that incident, but the community hasn’t.
