Erik Spoelstra refused to give up any information concerning Jimmy Butler’s tense relationship with the Miami Heat management in a recent press conference. On Tuesday, Spoelstra was quizzed about Butler’s disappointing performance in the game against the Portland Trail Blazers. This is the third game for Jimmy Butler after his seven-game suspension by the team.

Butler was suspended without pay for apparently going against the team’s code of conduct. Butler has also been hinting out loud that he would like to be traded out of the Miami Heat team, but no other units have confirmed their interest in the 35-year-old power forward.

“I know what you’re trying to get out of me, you’re not going to get anything worthwhile, it just wasn’t a very inspiring first three quarters by the whole group…” Erik Spoelstra said to reporters on Tuesday.

Erik Spoelstra was asked about Jimmy Butler’s “languid” play and how to work around it.

Erik Spoelstra, or Coach Spo, joined the Miami Heat as a head coach back in 2008 after being an assistant coach for about a decade. In addition to coaching the Miami Heat full-time, Spoelstra is also an assistant coach for the United States men’s national basketball team. In the history of the NBA, Spoelstra is one of only 14 coaches who have managed to win two championships, and also the first Asian American head coach to win an NBA title.

Erik Spoelstra’s Miami Heat Lose Abysmally To Trail Blazers

Erik Spoelstra is definitely not happy with his team, especially in their recent performances. Currently, the Miami Heat are all the way in the ninth position of the Eastern Conference after winning 21 games and losing 21 so far. In their latest matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Heat lost the game with a final score of 116-107.

In that game, Duncan Robinson led the team on the scoreboard with 22 points, grabbing five rebounds along with four helpers. Meanwhile, Kel’el Ware added another 20 points, along with an impressive 15 boards, the highest in this category. Jimmy Butler managed to score a lack-luster 13 points in that game, with four boards and eight helpers.

Erik Spoelstra’s Miami Heat will take on the Milwaukee Bucks for their upcoming matchup. The last time the Heat locked horns with the Bucks, they lost the game with a close score of 106-103. Then, Jimmy Butler turned out to be the lead scorer for the team with 23 points, while Tyler Herro and Terry Rozier managed 18 points and 17 points respectively.
