Golden State Warriors will have to navigate the rest of the season without Jimmy Butler, the player they put everything on to bring them back to glory days. The six-time Alll-Star suffered an ACL injury early in his team’s game against his former team Miami Heat.

The fact that it was against the Heat should not be a huge deal. Injury happens randomly. Former Golden State Warriors guard Nick Young chose to focus on that tid bit. He thinks Butler is suffering Karma.
It’s not only Butler. Young also dragged head coach Steve Kerr who he thinks is not doing good things lately.
“Against your old team too. Somebody not living right. Somebody not living right man. Go pray. That’s just karma,” he suggested during an appearance at the Gil Arena show where they discussed the latest challenge faced by the Warriors.
“I don’t want nobody to get hurt but that don’t rarely happen against your old team. Steve Kerr treating people bad over there. That’s tough man. I do wish him a speedy recovery but he ain’t gonna be speedy no more. That’s the last time he gonna be speedy.”

First game without Jimmy Butler
Warriors won the game where Butler got injured. The next game, which is the second of a back-to-back, is a totally different story.
They lost to the Toronto Raptors massively before settling for a 145-127 defeat. Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga stepped up in his absence, scoring 25 and 20 points, respectively.
However, those were not enough as they might have missed Butler’s defense, too.
Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy remains positive about his player’s possible return although they are ready to make a move.

“Our picks always will and have been in play. To give up our picks, it’s got to be meaningful to get something back,” Dunleavy said.
“And so for that reason, there’s only so many players out there that probably we’re putting stuff like that on the table… if we’re talking about trading draft picks that will be going out when Steph isn’t here, it’s going to have to be a player that we think we’ll be getting back, that is going to be here when those picks are going out.”
