Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had to leave the game on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a groin injury. The Bucks ruled Antetokounmpo out for the entire game after he left during the second quarter. Without their best player, Milwaukee suffered a 118-106 loss. NBA fans were concerned about what happened with the two-time MVP.

Antetokounmpo played 24 minutes and had 10 points, five rebounds and two assists on 33.3% shooting. It’s a devastating blow for Milwaukee, which had lost to the Los Angeles Lakers 119-95 on Saturday. The Bucks are now 8-7 this season.

Starting guard Ryan Rollins tried to lead the team with his 24 points. Myles Turner added 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals. However, that wasn’t enough for the Bucks to beat the Cavaliers.

Following the report that Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t return to the game, fans expressed their concern for the star and the Bucks. Here are some of what the fans said.

“Ain’t nobody safe,” a fan said.

“And we don’t have a 2nd star player to fill leading scorer. Yep seasons a wrap,” another fan commented.

“He’s going to be out a few weeks with this, Major blow to the bucks,” one fan said.

“At some point y’all gone have to do some investigation and take action against the NBA b/c that’s a preventable injury if the refs simply did their jobs and call fouls when he’s fouled,” a fan complained.

At some point y’all gone have to do some investigation and take action against the NBA b/c that’s a preventable injury if the refs simply did their jobs and call fouls when he’s fouled. With how he’s been officiated this season, this was bound to happen.

“Nobody has it worse than us,” someone commented.

“F**k this franchise. They failed time and time again to build a team around Giannis and now he’s hurt,” a comment read.

“This team needs to get mad and play like they want to win. They have to learn how to want it as much as Giannis does,” a fan pointed out.

Doc Rivers has no further update on Giannis Antetokounmpo

After the loss, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers revealed that Giannis Antetokounmpo was already dealing with the injury during the opening quarter. He also said that he doesn’t have any further updates on the star forward’s injury. Rivers said that Antetkounmpo will be evaluated tomorrow, on Tuesday.

“We won’t know anything until tomorrow. Didn’t look great, I can tell you that,” Rivers said.

“He grabbed (his groin), I want to say in the first quarter and I asked him then. He said it was fine. Then I think he grabbed it again and he said it was fine. And then the third time, you know, is when it happened. But I think it happened earlier, in my opinion.”

Without another star to take over, the team might have a problem if the Greek Freak gets ruled out for some time. Fans are hoping for the best for Antetokounmpo.
