Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks secured their third win in a row on Tuesday, beating the Sacramento Kings, 103-87. It’s the first three-game win streak for the Knicks since the New Year. New York has struggled to find momentum to start 2026, but the team has gradually shown improvement.
Towns helped the team with his 17 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. But it was Jalen Brunson who did most of the work, with his 28-point game.
NBA star Russell Westbrook and KAT had a mismatch in the post during the first quarter. Towns is 6-foot-11, 248 pounds, while Westbrook is 6-foot-4, 200 pounds. But even with that advantage, the Knicks star struggled to score over the smaller defender.

Westbrook held his ground and forced KAT to commit a turnover. This gave the Kings a fastbreak advantage, which turned into two points.

The Knicks are gauging the market for Karl-Anthony Towns
Karl-Anthony Towns is a star for the Knicks, but his future with the team is still up in the air. Marc Stein of “The Stein Line” reported on Tuesday that the organization is considering trading him. Although New York has shut down the rumors, Stein said that there are speculations around the league about KAT’s availability.
“However … a belief persists among some rival teams that Towns is in play to some degree. Or that the Knicks, at the very least, have tried to get a sense of what his market would be.” the insider wrote.
