Giannis Antetokounmpo has been rocking it with the Milwaukee Bucks this season, practically becoming their hero. However, according to a recent revelation by Gilbert Arenas on his podcast, Antetokounmpo might not have made it to the Bucks at all.
Currently, with Antetokounmpo leading their offense, the Milwaukee Bucks are ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference after winning 21 games and losing 17 so far. Most recently, the Bucks played against the Sacrament Kings and won the game, 130-115. In that game, Antetokounmpo turned out to be the lead scorer with 33 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and assisting 13 times, while Damian Lillard managed 24 points, with five boards and seven helpers.
“The Hawks held Giannis hostage, then the Bucks snatched him 💀🤣” Gilbert Arenas recounted Jeff Teague’s story on a recent episode of ‘Gil’s Arena’.

Apparently, the Atlanta Hawks wanted to get Giannis Antetokounmpo so badly on their team that they decided to hold him ‘hostage’ in their basement, training and working out. However, after one of their disgruntled employees who was recently fired managed to leak the news out, the Milwaukee Bucks managed to grab Antetokounmpo at the first opportunity possible.

In this ongoing NBA season, Antetokounmpo is averaging about 31.4 points in each game, with 11.9 rebounds per matchup and six assists in every clash played. It is safe to say that the power forward is easily enjoying his best season as a professional basketball player. Still, even with Antetokounmpo, there is plenty of room for improvement for the Milwaukee Bucks, who need to improve their record in the Eastern Conference.
