Myles Turner had his best performance scoring-wise on Sunday after scoring 19 points on five three pointers made in Milwaukee Bucks‘ win over the Chicago Bulls. This just happens to be at a time when he finally got to play with the team’s best player Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Greek Freak did not play in their first two preseason games (against Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons) as he had to sit out to fully recover from Covid-19 virus. Turner was mid in those games, scoring just a total of 12 points in limited minutes.
Head coach Doc Rivers finally got the chance to test his new front court duo and they delivered. Turner played 24 minutes from his usual 15-minute burn time. Giannis himself was limited but recorded a double double of 13 points and 13 rebounds in 13 minutes.
The former Indiana Pacers center spent a lot of time from beyond the arc, confirming himself as another player that can complement Antetokounmpo’s playing style.

Rivers is raving with what he’s seen so far from the duo.
“He’s great for this team,” Rivers told reporters post-game.
“I couldn’t have thought of a better person that fits Giannis.”
Myles Turner comments on Giannis Antetokounmpo
Antetokounmpo and Turner had physical games against each other. How is it this time now that they are teammates?
Turner has huge compliments about his superstar teammate. He might even be teasing how great his career could be now that they are on the same side.
“Man, he ’bout change my life, man,” he said during courtside interview.

“It’s different man. Just being on a different side of it. It’s interesting. The mental work that goes in for the game plan. He makes the game easy for the guys around him and he got your back as well.”
