Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks have dealt with trade rumors since the offseason. It has carried over to the 2025-26 NBA season. However, the whispers have become louder as the Bucks have struggled to win this season.
Antetokounmpo’s name has been linked to various teams around the NBA, most prominently, the New York Knicks. Unfortunately, the Bucks have stayed firm in the Greek Freak’s future. According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, trade talks around the star forward have hit a wall.
“I’ve spoken to plenty of GMs that would love to have Giannis and have tried to talk to Bucks GM Jon Horst about acquiring him and quite frankly, he’s not going anywhere. They’ve been telling me the Bucks have been steadfast that he’s not going anywhere,” Scotto said.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s trade rumors with the Knicks have also been affected. The Athletic’s Sam Amick recently wrote that New York has no plans for significant changes to their group, especially after winning the NBA Cup.
“And then there’s the one team that Antetokounmpo showed a desire to play for last summer — the New York Knicks. Until further notice, the recently-crowned NBA Cup champions are fully invested in their current crop of title-contending talent,” the insider wrote.
Given Antetokounmpo’s star status, the Bucks could demand a lot from the Knicks in a potential deal.
Giannis Antetokounmpo breaks unwritten rule against the Bulls, players unhappy

Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to action on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls after missing six games. He led the Bucks to a 112-103 win with his 29 points and eight rebounds. Milwaukee already had the lead with the final seconds winding down. However, Antetokounmpo broke out the windmill dunk.
The Bulls did not appreciate what the Greek star did, and they immediately confronted him after the game. Chicago’s Coby White called him out during his postgame presser and said it was “disrespectful.” Center Nikola Vucevic trolled the 2021 Finals MVP about his trade rumors.
“I’m assuming Giannis was mad about that report that came out the Bulls didn’t want to trade for him,” he said.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was not bothered and even posted a photo of his dunk on X.
“I ain’t no painter but you get the picture💯🤞🏽” Antetokounmpo posted.

It looks like the next meeting between the Bucks and Bulls will have a bit of animosity.
