Gilbert Arenas’ wife, Melli Monaco recently met with an accident while in an Uber on the way to the airport. While waiting for her flight, Monaco narrated the entire incident through her Instagram stories, leaving her fans and followers bewildered. Apparently, Monaco’s driver was shifty right from the start, and even almost crashed into the bushes soon after leaving her home.
After getting into the High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane after a few obstacles, the driver hit another car’s bumper. However, neither Monaco nor the driver was injured and the highly-popular social media influencer managed to catch her flight on time.
“I needed to come out to the airport. I called an Uber to get out of the property, you have to go a U-turn so you don’t get back out on the streets. In the U-turn, (we) almost hit the bushes. I tell him to make a U-turn on another way to get easier … and we get on the interstate (highway), there’s the HOV line, and you know traffic is crazy, so I ask him why do you not want to go to the HOV line? I realized he doesn’t speak English … He gets in the HOV line after I explained it to him. He was on his phone … and then I was like, ‘be careful’ and then he hits the break and we hit a car, so we get in an accident on the fu**ing highway. Apparently, it was nothing. We’re good to go, so we get back in the car,” Melli Monaco explained the accident through a series of Instagram stories.
Gilbert Arenas and Melli Monaco tied the knot earlier this year in January. Arenas, a former NBA player who played in the league from 2001 to 2013 for a bunch of teams, proposed to the social media influencer in Paris last year after being in a relationship with her since 2023.
Gilbert Arenas’ Former NBA Team To Meet Atlanta Hawks Next
On another note, Gilbert Arenas’ former NBA team, the Golden State Warriors are scheduled to take on the Atlanta Hawks for their next game. The Warriors are coming here after meeting the Toronto Raptors in the previous matchup. Golden State is currently ranked sixth in the Western Conference with 41 wins and 29 defeats.
After playing against the Atlanta Hawks, the Golden State Warriors will be on their way to meet the Miami Heat. In the previous matchup against the Hawks, Golden State won the game with a 120-97 final score.
