Golden State Warriors news: There are few more compelling modern-day individual rivalries in the NBA than that of Stephen Curry and LeBron James. After all, these two have won a combined eight championships between them over the past 12 years.
In a recent interview, Curry acknowledged that his personal relationship with LeBron has evolved through the years. The Warriors superstar also admitted to having some “bad blood” with James throughout the four consecutive years they faced off in the NBA Finals.
Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry Vocal on Relationship With LeBron James

For the first time in their respective careers, Curry and LeBron are on the same team as they look to lead Team USA to a gold medal finish in the upcoming Paris Olympics. According to Steph, it feels “surreal” to be teammates with James.
“In the Finals, that brings out the ‘healthy animosity’ of somebody standing in your way of a goal, and you know you’re gonna have some bad blood out there,” Curry said of James (h/t Jack Winter of Athlon Sports).
“But through it all, like I’m a firm believer you can be competitive, you can have that killer instinct and see blood on the other side, but still have the utmost respect for who you’re playing against. That’s the ultimate compliment for a guy like Bron who’s always pushed the bar higher and higher with everything that he’s done.”
Being the intense competitors that they are, I’m pretty sure LeBron feels the same way about his relationship with Curry as well.

At this point, Curry is just enjoying playing alongside the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. It won’t be long before Steph and LeBron end their respective runs in the league, which is why Curry is grateful to have this unique experience with James.
“There’s still that competition, but I can fully enjoy this experience and get to know him at a much deeper level as teammates,” Curry said. “I think that’s what we both deserve at this stage of our career. It’s pretty dope.”
