The Golden State Warriors beat the Milwaukee Bucks 104-93 last Tuesday, and Draymond Green played huge for the hosts.

The four-time NBA champion racked up three points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and four blocks in 36 minutes. Green was the primary defender on Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with only 20 points on 5-for-16 shooting from the field.
The Milwaukee Bucks’ 93 points on Tuesday was a season-low for the team. According to NBA.com’s tracking data, Antetokounmpo missed all seven field goal attempts when Green guarded him.

Green’s stellar work on the defensive end was accompanied by a huge offensive night for Jimmy Butler. The six-time NBA All-Star flirted with a triple-double, notching 24 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists on 6-for-13 shooting from the field and a perfect 11-for-11 from the charity stripe.
Golden State Warriors News: Draymond Green makes a strong DPOY case
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green believes he can win this year’s Defensive Player of the Year award, especially after Victor Wembanyama went down with a blood clot diagnosis. The 35-year-old last won the award in 2017.

“Obviously, if we keep winning and close this year out strong, most definitely,” Green said via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. “I look around the league and don’t see many players impacting the game on the defensive end the way I do. I don’t see many players completely throwing off an entire team’s offense the way I do. One thousand percent.”
“Especially with Wemby (Victor Wembanyama) going down, seemed like he had it won. And now it is right there. So, one million percent I have a case, and I will continue to build that case for these next 13 games. Tonight was a prime example of that,” he added.
