The Golden State Warriors took a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets after a 109-106 win last night at the Chase Center.
Jimmy Butler returned from a pelvic injury and dropped 27 points (team-high), five rebounds, and six assists on 7-for-12 shooting from the field and a perfect 12-for-12 from the charity stripe. Brandin Podziemski, Stephen Curry, Buddy Hield, and Quinten Post added 26, 17, 15, and 13 points.
The game went down to the wire. With less than 14 seconds left, the Golden State Warriors were up 107-106 and had a huge defensive stop when Draymond Green forced a miss from Alperen Sengun, and Butler secured the board.
Butler knocked down his two free throws, and Fred VanVleet missed the game-tying three-point attempt at the buzzer.

Game 4 was the perfect example of why the Golden State Warriors traded for Jimmy Butler last February. The six-time NBA All-Star gave it his all yesterday, and he’s happy his hard work has paid off.
“I’d die for these guys, for real. It’s so much fun. I got my joy back, as some would say,” Butler told NBA on TNT’s Allie LaForce during his postgame interview.
Butler’s postgame comments alluded to what he said last January when he was unhappy in South Beach. If he continues to play like this, the Golden State Warriors could become a viable contender in the Western Conference.
