The Golden State Warriors are the only NBA team that has yet to confirm a new signing this offseason, and their ongoing negotiations with Jonathan Kuminga are a huge reason why.

Much has been said about Kuminga’s desire to leave the Golden State Warriors. However, his agent, Aaron Turner, recently revealed that this is not exactly the case. Turner explained that his client is willing to stay for the right deal.
“There’s a lot said about him that he only cares about himself or scoring. That couldn’t be farther from the truth He just wants to be a part of what’s going on… He does, of course, want to have the ball more; he wants the ball in his hands. But he’s not a guy who doesn’t want to win. He wants to be part of that,” Turner stated on The Hoop Collective.

“If we’re coming back here and it’s win now – this is Steph’s probably last window to win – help us out on the back end of the deal because we’re going to be sacrificing what we just spoke about… I pitched the player option deal to give him flexibility. We haven’t said no to a team option,” he added.
Golden State Warriors News: Aaron Turner reveals new potential holdup for Jonathan Kuminga’s new contract
Aaron Turner recently revealed that Jonathan Kuminga is pushing for a player option to his deal, following the comments made to him by Sacramento Kings assistant general manager BJ Armstrong, which the Golden State Warriors are seemingly reluctant to offer.

“The player option to him is super important… JK is clearly the guy that needs to sacrifice here for this to work. Okay, so that’s fine,” Turner explained on 95.7 The Game.
“He’s passing up opportunities where they are saying, I mean, BJ Armstrong made a strong comment to JK like we want you to be you. We don’t want you to change a thing. Play your game. He can’t do that fully in Golden State,” he added.
