Every player had their “welcome to the NBA” moment. Even stars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant had those moments. During a recent episode of “The Young Man and The Three,” Golden State Warriors forward Moses Moody revealed that he had his experience during a practice session. Unfortunately for Moody, it was Curry who gave him his welcome moment.
A typical game is when an NBA rookie is introduced to the league. Experienced players often coach newcomers on the court, which often results in difficult circumstances for the younger players. When he was welcomed, Moody was fortunate that no photographers were there.
However, he was taught a lesson by Curry after he stole the ball. Moody recalled the moment and said that the four-time champion found his rhythm and torched him during a practice session.

“Got to be one of them practices, like he do the thing that he doing in the game when he’d just take over and go crazy,” Moody said. “Imagine it like in practice, he just do it all the time. One of my first times, I ripped him. I’m a rookie, I’m just coming in so I’m feeling good about it.
“I just felt everybody in the room kinda like, ‘He don’t know.’ Then Steph do what Steph do and go crazy and all that. I’m like, ‘I know that feeling was right.’ I knew what I felt. Everybody knew what was gonna happen.”

Moody had a first-hand experience of what it’s like to be on the defensive end against Curry. While he was embarrassed, it was only his teammates and coaches who caught a glimpse of what had happened.
Jimmy Butler’s comments get Golden State Warriors fans excited

The addition of Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors last season energized the team and the fans. Despite his unreliability as a shooter, his defensive play improved the team’s success, particularly during the playoffs.
Butler also brings a different dynamic to the locker room. His nonchalant approach to things is what keeps the fans entertained. Now that he’s brought that to the Warriors’ organization, there is a different energy around the roster.
In a recent Instagram post, Butler got the fans excited as he prepares for the 2025-26 season. The six-time All-Star referred to the analogy he had of the team last season, referring to Curry as Batman and calling himself Robin.
“I’m on my way to being great, man,” Butler said on his post. “Robin. He gonna be robbing the sh*t out of this motherf*ckers this year. Batman gonna do his job… Draymond [Green is] the Batmobile… He [does] a little bit of everything… Who else we got? I don’t know.”

The Golden State Warriors have Butler for the rest of the regular season, after only appearing in 30 games during the 2024-25 campaign.
