The Golden State Warriors booked their tickets to the 2025 NBA playoffs following a 121-116 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in last night’s seven vs. eight matchup in the play-in tournament.
Jimmy Butler led all scorers with 38 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals on 12-for-20 shooting from the field and 12-for-18 from the charity stripe. Not to be outdone, Stephen Curry posted 37 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and six three-pointers on 9-for-22 shooting from the field and a perfect 13-for-13 from the charity stripe.
Golden State also received meaningful contributions from the bench, as Gary Payton II and Quinten Post added 12 and 11 points.
The seventh-seeded Golden State Warriors will face the up-and-coming second-seeded Houston Rockets in the first round.

Jimmy Butler may have led the Golden State Warriors in scoring against the Memphis Grizzlies, but he knows they wouldn’t make it to the playoffs if it weren’t for Stephen Curry’s late heroics, including some back-breaking three-pointers during crunch time. The six-time NBA All-Star had the perfect superhero comparison to Curry.
“That’s a Batman if I ever seen a Batman,” Butler said via NBA on TNT. “Always coming to save the day. You’re never out of any game. More than anything, he’s just so poised, he’s so calm. He was a huge part of this victory.”
“I think any team has a chance with me on it,” he added during the postgame podium. “But I know every team has a chance with Steph on it. I get to play Robin. That’s my Batman.”
