The Golden State Warriors continued their hot streak on Thursday, thanks to Stephen Curry‘s big night. The Warriors played against the Orlando Magic and Curry secured the 121-115 win due to his major scoring night. The four-time champion finished the game with 56 points on 12 3-pointers made.

The Warriors have a strong momentum as they’ve gone 7-1 since they traded for star forward Jimmy Butler. Golden State is currently on a five-game winning streak and has climbed up to the seventh spot in the Western Conference. The team has secured a 32-27 record this season.

In addition to making history with his performance, Curry became the only player to play nine games with at least 50 points in a game after turning thirty. NBA icon Wilt Chamberlain is the only player ranked second on the list.

After the game, Curry gave his game-worn jersey to his mother, Sonya, to remember his performance.

“MOMMA!” Stephen Curry gave the game-worn jersey he hit 12 threes in to his mom, Sonya, who got emotional after catching it ❤️😢

Fans went wild on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), for his outstanding performance.

“I was told “he was washed”😂” a fan said.

“Still the best PG at 36 😭😭😭” another fan commented.

“Title Steph activated! Watch out man!” one fan posted.

“Yeah, Stephen Curry went off; this game needs a documentary. 🤩🤩🤩”

    “Light work for Steph”

“And Jayson Tatum thinks he’s the face of the league….”

“only room for one chef in the kitchen 🤌”

Curry now has 45 games where he finished a game with at least nine or more shots from beyond the arc.

How has Stephen Curry performed for the Warriors this season?

Stephen Curry has performed well for the Warriors this season. He’s appeared in 49 games, averaging 23.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.1 assists on 43.9% shooting from the field.

At the start of the season, Curry and the Warriors struggled to make an impact in the league. However, that has since been changed after the organization acquired Butler. With the All-Star forward, the team has a newfound hope to make it to the postseason.

Curry’s longtime teammate, Draymond Green, went as far as to claim the championship as theirs during the All-Star Weekend.

“I 1,000 percent, wholeheartedly stand all 10 toes down on everything I’ve said. We winning that. And I look forward to all the people who run and duck and hide and then not even acknowledge that ‘Yo, this man said this when they were’.”
