Stephen Curry willed his Golden State Warriors to a 125-120 win over the San Antonio Spurs, overcoming the triple-double performances of Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle.

The two-time league MVP went off for 46 points, including 29 in the second half. Curry also contributed five rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 13-for-25 shooting from the field and 15-for-16 shooting from the charity stripe.
“Looks like he’s almost fully healthy,” Gary Payton II said of Curry’s scoring outburst via NBC Sports Bay Area. “Almost fully healthy. He probably would have gotten 50 if he was fully healthy. I’ll take the 46. Just to see him in a good rhythm is encouraging for everybody.”

“I’ve seen this,” head coach Steve Kerr added. “When you have the privilege with Steph for 11-plus years like I have, you get used to this. He’s the reason this whole thing has happened. He’s our Tim Duncan. He’s the sun in our solar system.”
Golden State Warriors News: Stephen Curry dishes on closing in on old-man scoring record
As of this writing, Stephen Curry has 43 40-point games after turning 30, which is only one shy of Michael Jordan’s mark of 44. The Golden State Warriors guard said he is honored to be mentioned in the same sentence as the Chicago Bulls legend.

“God willing. That’s pretty good company, for sure. We needed every bit of them tonight. Everybody stepped up. Considering how last night went, came with great energy, top to bottom,” Curry said during the postgame interview.
“That third quarter is what we do. Getting vibes, pushing, creating easy offense. And thankfully, I was able to knock a couple down. But yeah, I’ll take that company, for sure,” he added.
