Jimmy Butler reportedly got impatient with Golden State Warriors’ lack of movement over the summer that he personally talked to the front office. The team is yet to sign anyone while all other Western Conference contenders are getting better.

One major whole in the line up is in the frontcourt. They have been looking around but still hasn’t found anyone. That player might arrive soon according to insider Brett Siegel.
He said the Warriors already have a verbal agreement with several free agents which include Al Horford from the Boston Celtics. Siegel said the 2024 NBA champion will sign a multi-year deal.
“Al Horford hasn’t been able to sign his two-year contract that is lined up because of the Dubs’ cap situation as they wait for Kuminga. De’Anthony Melton and Gary Payton II have also not officially signed their deals with Golden State,” the reporter wrote on Clutch Points.

“And then there is Seth Curry, who is likely to finally get the chance to play alongside his brother in The Bay.
“The Warriors have been at peace, knowing that they have verbal agreements in place and these free agency deals are all but signed at this point. Still, time is running out to make a decision on Kuminga.”
Horford has been on Warriors’ radar since the end of the 2024-25 season.
Golden State Warriors’ current roster
Warriors will need a major overhaul after they were exposed in the playoffs.
They managed to beat no. 2 Houston Rockets in the first round but they needed all Game 7 to do that. In the second round, they were manhandled by the Minnesota Timberwolves led by the trio of Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and Julius Randle.
Aside from Stephen Curry and Butler, the team still has Draymond Green. The starting five will also have Brandin Podziemski and Buddy Hield.

The bench is where the problem likes with Jonathan Kuminga still undecided with his future with the team. Remaining substitutes are Moses Moody, Gui Santos, and Trayce Jackson-Davis.
