Draymond Green got the boot again for his controversial behavior, but this time fans are rallying behind him.

The Warriors forward couldn’t keep his mouth shut Saturday night in front of a female referee, which resulted in Green’s 22nd career ejection. The Golden State Warriors needed this W desperately against the Utah Jazz while sitting at 18-17 before tipoff. They did steal the victory, but folks didn’t take Green’s election call lightly.
The odd sequence unfolded like a bad movie as Green trapped Kyle Filipowski under the basket and started yelling at referee Simone Jelks.
“Three! Three!” Green yelled, demanding a three-second violation call, but she didn’t blow the whistle. In the process, Lauri Markkanen cruised past Green for an easy dunk.

Green lost his mind after the pay, and as the 35-year-old continued to chirp, Jelks hit him with his first tech. The Warriors’ defensive anchor’s anger reached a breaking point right away, and he, as can be seen in the video, immediately went to referee Kevin Cutler to complain.
Cutler didn’t take his receipt as well. He called a second technical foul on Green and ejected him. The entire sequence took less than 30 seconds.
The Warriors were down by 10 points before the argument, and when Green walked off, Markkanen converted the technical free throws, pushing the Jazz’s lead to 12.
However, they couldn’t utilize that benefit for long, as the Warriors had the last laugh, winning convincingly with a 123-114 score.
Fans React After Draymond Green’s Second Ejection
Social media erupted after the ejection. Fans showed zero mercy toward the officiating crew, especially the female one, for acting soft.
One fan wrote, “@NBAOfficial softest double tech I’ve ever seen. 1st one, alright whatever, 2nd one for an additional 3 seconds of arguing??? Lolololol refs are soft, can’t take proper criticism lololol.”
Another fan added, “Stop allowing broken heart women ref in the nba….what an emotional ref.”
A third claimed, “Why do we need female refs – no need diversity just get it right.”
The fourth shared, “So the refs miss an obvious and egregious ass call, then ejects Draymond for rightfully pointing it out. They didn’t even call it when he was telling them in real time. Gotta start fining these refs for shit like this man.”
A fifth one added, “Female ref doesn’t like being yelled at by a player.. ejects the player for her not doing her job..”
A random X user penned, “The ‘women shouldn’t be allowed to officiate men’ takes are flying after Dray’s ejection.”
Green now sits at nine technical fouls this season. He’ll earn an automatic one-game suspension if he hits 16. However, thanks to Stephen Curry for leading the team to a comeback victory by dropping 31 points.
Meanwhile, Green managed to score only 8 points and two assists before his controversial ejection.
