Even though Ja Morant said he’d never dunk again, the Memphis Grizzlies All-Star guard went ahead in a game against the Boston Celtics. As a result, he has now gone viral for pulling off an insane move against the Jayson Tatum-led squad.

In a thrilling matchup, Memphis defeated the Boston Celtics with a score of 127-121, marking a significant victory as they snapped a 10-game losing streak in Boston. Morant led the charge with an impressive performance, scoring 32 points along with nine assists and nine rebounds. His dynamic play was crucial in helping the team secure their first win at TD Garden since 2013.

Jaren Jackson Jr. also made a notable contribution, adding 27 points and nine rebounds. Memphis showcased their resilience, overcoming a 14-point deficit in the third quarter. The Celtics, who held a strong home record, fought back to take a brief lead, but Memphis regained control in the final minutes, scoring seven consecutive points to pull ahead decisively.

Despite the loss, the Celtics had standout performances from Jrue Holiday, who scored 23 points, and both Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard, who contributed 22 points each. However, the team struggled with their shooting, particularly from beyond the arc, hitting only 30% of their three-point attempts. This inefficiency proved costly as the Grizzlies dominated the paint, outscoring Boston 64-40 in that area.

Marcus Smart returned to TD Garden for the first time since his trade to Memphis, receiving a warm ovation from fans. However, his performance was lackluster as he struggled to find his rhythm, finishing with just three points on 1-of-11 shooting.

Just recently, Morant went viral for performing an insane dunk against the Celtics. This led basketball fans to share their thoughts about his latest play, as seen in a video shared by NBA TV on X.

“So Ja’s back to dunking again?” Jed Suarez asked.

“But I thought he was done dunking…lol” Kaleb Earls wondered.

“Ja must’ve was born outta space how he jumps so high is impossible,” Primetv said.

“D Rose wasn’t doing this in his prime,” YG B tweeted.

“Best point guard in the league,” Citi Slickah claimed.

    “Holyyyyy Moleeyyyyyy,” SpinZaLeo posted.

“Vince carter against chris Mullin 2.0,” Fryos shared.

Morant’s recent performance against the Boston Celtics showcased his explosive talent, as he scored 32 points and delivered a stunning dunk. Initially, the point guard had expressed a desire to avoid dunks to prioritize his health, citing concerns about potential injuries.

However, during the game, he felt compelled to dunk to avoid being blocked by Kristaps Porzingis. The All-Star guard’s instinctive decision highlights his incredible athleticism and competitive spirit. His ability to balance caution with the thrill of high-flying plays continues to captivate fans and solidify his status as a premier NBA star.
