Norman Powell must be feeling some kind of relief right now as he finds himself in a much better place after his former team Los Angeles Clippers decided last summer he is just an expendable player to acquire someone else.

The 32-year-old guard, Clips’ second best scorer last season, is with the Miami Heat now and everything’s clicking for them. Meanwhile, Clippers are struggling big time and there are now talks that the player they acquired for Powell, John Collins, is about to get traded.
The worst part about it is that they are now 5-16, the second worst team in the Western Conference.
Powell and the Clippers met on Monday with the Heat coming out on top, 140-123. He led his team in scoring by putting up 30 points.

When asked about the state of the Clippers, he said he was not surprised but he hardly cares now.
“I would have never guessed they were gonna be 5-16 and where they’re at right now,” he told Joey Linn of Sports Illustrated.
“That’s something for them to have to deal with and handle. I’m not worried about them anymore.”
Norman Powell playing like a star
Powell scored around 21 points per game in his last season and this time, he is doing much better with 25 points per outing. His rebounds and assists has also improved.
He is yet to score in single digit this season.
Clippers fans are probably seething in anger over the front office’s decision to let him go.

Former NBA player Lou Williams of Run it Back show thought the player showed LA what they missed during their encounter.
The Clippers probably could’ve used Norman Powell’s balance tonight, as his 30 points led the Heat to a win over his former team 😮💨🔥
