Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant has been in the NBA for 18 years and has seen it all, from the highs of winning accolades and championships to the lows of losing big games.

At 36 years old, Durant remains a baller at heart, and the Houston Rockets star wants to keep playing in the NBA for as long as he can, which is what he said during his appearance on the Mind the Game podcast with LeBron James and Steve Nash.
“Some people say imma go 22 (seasons) straight… It’s a contract I feel like you’ve gotta have with yourself. To have a long career, that’s the goal. To be in the league for 20 years,” Durant said.

Durant will be playing for his fifth NBA team this upcoming 2025-26 season, and he comes into a situation where he could compete for another championship after the Houston Rockets revamped their roster this summer.
Houston Rockets sophomore excited to have Kevin Durant as a teammate
The Houston Rockets are hyped to play with Kevin Durant this upcoming season, and one of them is incoming sophomore Reed Sheppard. The former Kentucky guard shared his thoughts on the trade during a quick interview with ESPN’s NBA Today in Las Vegas.

“Obviously when I saw it, it was really cool for me. I grew up watching him my whole life, so it’s kind of crazy now that I’m going to be playing with him,” Sheppard said about Durant.
“But he’s a great scorer, he really can do anything, he’s a great winner, so it’s going to be really fun. I’m really excited to play with him,” he added.
