The Houston Rockets won 137-109 against the Brooklyn Nets last night to improve to 1-2 this season, thanks in large part to Tari Eason, who was a huge spark off the bench on both ends of the floor.

‘The former 17th overall pick contributed 22 points, five rebounds, five assists, and five three-pointers on 8-for-12 shooting from the field. After the game, Eason received praise from none other than Kevin Durant.
“He’s a wild card most nights,” Durant said of Eason via Houston Chronicle’s Danielle Lerner. “Teams (are) not going to expect him to come out there and just catch on fire. Obviously, a double-digit scorer, but to get 20 points a game, hit five 3s and still guard at the level that he does, that’s gonna take us to another level.”

“It was stressful the last couple nights, being 0-2, feeling we could have won those two games,” he continued. “But that’s how much we love the game, how much we love winning. And to come in here and get a W, it felt great walking back to the locker room.”
Houston Rockets News: Ime Udoka dishes on naming Josh Okogie as the fifth starter
Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka made the bold move of inserting Josh Okogie into the starting five against the Brooklyn Nets yesterday to add more speed, and it obviously worked.

Okogie was one of the seven players who scored in double-digits. He had 10 points and two steals on 3-for-5 shooting from the field in 31 minutes of action.
“He knows his role. He’s keeping it simple,” Udoka said about Okogie. “Brings the physicality and aggressiveness on the defensive side of the ball. Knows how to play off other guys and then fits in with the areas we like: crashing the glass, slashing, making plays, second opportunities, and kind of gives Amen a break on ball at times.”
