NBA fans are trolling Draymond Green after the Warriors star recently lamented over the sad state of the Slam Dunk Contest during the All-Star Weekend. Fans know only too well that the contest’s attraction has been dwindling over the years, especially with legendary ballers opting out.
Green spoke at length about this in a recent episode of his show, revealing that he did not like the fact that there were people participating in the contest who do not even have a current contract. Green stated that it might be wiser for the league to stick with those players rather than focusing on players like himself who are not interested in the contest, which led to many fans cracking jokes about the situation.

“I don’t have a dream dunk contest lineup this year. It just hasn’t been great. The guys who are supposed to be in there haven’t been great. The great guys who are supposed to be in haven’t done it — they just haven’t. So I think it’s kind of died down. You’ve got guys in there who aren’t even in the NBA. It’s crazy. I worked this hard to be All-Star, and you could just be in a dunk contest and not be on an NBA contract. We might as well go get those guys who do all those crazy dunks. So yeah, I’m not too stoked about it,” Draymond Green said.

“If the NBA starts an All-Star boxing match im sure Draymond will be the first they call,” one fan joked.
“Well it’s because the ‘all stars’ don’t want to participate in the dunk contest lol,” one more fan reasoned.
“Hmm, maybe tell your coworkers to participate, and then the NBA won’t have to recruit from the G-League.” another fan said.
NBA Fans Also Agree With Draymond Green’s Remarks
Surprisingly, there were numerous fans who seemed to nod along to what Draymond Green said about the dunk contest. While not everything that Green says may be comprehensible, these set of opinions seem to hold water.

“He cooked on this tbh,” one fan noted.

“That’s a great point. Once again we need a new commissioner.” Another fan added.
“He’s saying the truth,” one more fan echoed.
While the Slam Dunk Contest was one of the best-selling points of the All-Star weekend, in recent years it has lost its charm. Fans can’t help bringing the incredible years of yore, when the likes of Michael Jordan, Vince Carter and many others put on a show for the crowd.
