Indiana Fever Blamed For Caitlin Clark’s All-Star Teammate’s Let Down By WNBA Legend

Indiana Fever, one of the best-performing WNBA teams out there, has been accused of not recognizing all their players properly. According to former basketball star, Sheryl Swoopes, the Fever have failed to acknowledge Kelsey Mitchell’s contribution to their season. Instead, she accused the Indiana team of giving too much importance to Caitlin Clark.

“Personally, here’s where I think they didn’t do a very good job, and that was with Kelsey Mitchell, who’s an unrestricted free agent. Because Kelsey Mitchell had a hell of a season this season, and I don’t think that she got the credit that she deserved,” said Swoopes.

The Indiana Fever have managed to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016, a great accomplishment for Christie Sides who is the current coach. While this is great news for all the players of the team, Swoopes felt that the organization did not give Kelsey Mitchell the credit that she deserves.

Kelsey Mitchell is on the lookout for a new contract in the offseason as she is presently a free agent. Mitchell finished the season with a 19.2 average, with 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 helpers in every game played. However, her hunt will be quite short since there are numerous teams showing interest in Mitchell at the moment.

Sheryl Swoopes, though retired, has stayed active in the field of women’s basketball, often voicing out opinions that may not be accepted well. The b-ball legend has also come under fire for not once, but twice speaking unfavorably of Caitlin Clark. According to Swoopes, Caitlin Clark should not have been named ‘Rookie of the Year’, and instead Angel Reese should have received the award.

Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark Supports BF With New Pair Of Glasses

In other news, Caitlin Clark was recently seen supporting her boyfriend Connor McCaffrey, who is an assistant coach with the Butler Bulldogs, in a recent game against the Peay Governors. While there is nothing new about Clark showing off her love for McCaffrey, fans were treated to a surprise when she showed up wearing glasses.

It’s been a while since the Indiana star has been seen wearing glasses in public since her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes. It is likely that Caitlin Clark would have chosen to wear glasses as a bold fashion choice, rather than health issues.

She was seen wearing a black shirt with a black jacket, along with the black frames. Seeing the star in glasses was a treat for numerous fans who took to social media to remark how ‘great’ she looks in them, and that she should consider always wearing them.
