The Indiana Pacers finally snapped their eight-game losing streak with a 127-118 win against the Charlotte Hornets last night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and Bennedict Mathurin was the main catalyst behind the victory.

In only his second game of the 2025-26 campaign, Mathurin produced 24 points and 12 rebounds on 7-for-13 shooting from the field in 34 minutes of action. During the postgame interview, Mathurin was asked whether their latest victory could spark a run for the team.

“For sure. 100 percent. Why not?” Mathurin answered whether the team can win their next 10 games. “We have one down. It’s a quick turnaround. We fly to Cleveland tomorrow, and we’re going out there to fight… I’m looking forward to win more.”

“It was good. It was a much-needed win,” he added. “I love basketball, man. I’m doing whatever it takes to be healthy and help my teammates win games, and that’s the most important thing for me.”

Indiana Pacers News: Jay Huff breaks out in victory vs. Charlotte Hornets

Jay Huff had his best game in an Indiana Pacers uniform last night, as he contributed 20 points, five rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and four three-pointers on 7-for-13 shooting from the field in 27 minutes off the bench.

But more than his breakout performance, Huff is relieved to see his Indiana Pacers return to winning ways.

“It’s the best feeling after a losing skid. There were a couple of moments where we started to find ourselves losing the grip on the game and had to tighten it up,” Huff said via Dustin Dopirak of the Indianapolis Star.
