The Indiana Pacers snapped their three-game losing skid with a 119-86 rout of the Washington Wizards at home in a battle of two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference.

While most teams take a mid-November victory for granted, the Indiana Pacers aren’t, considering what they’ve been through at the start of this season. As of this writing, the team has a 3-16 win-loss slate.
“I think our intensity is a little bit up. We gotta keep building on this. I thought our energy and our effort on defense have been good in these past three or four games,” Siakam said via Indy Star. “Gotta build good habits. That’s what I’ve been telling the guys every single day.”

“You can’t take it for granted… When you’re used to winning, you take it for granted,” he continued via Tony East. “We’ve got to take it and enjoy it and know what it took for us to get to that. We can’t keep losing.”
Indiana Pacers News: Bennedict Mathurin opens up on being “tough” on Jay Huff
After a slow start to this season, Jay Huff has been playing better in recent games. Last night, the 28-year-old center started for the Indiana Pacers and finished with 12 points, six rebounds, and four blocks on 5-for-6 shooting from the field in 22 minutes.

“He’s been good,” Bennedict Mathurin said of Huff. “I’m pretty tough on him because I know what he can do, and I know exactly how well he can be. If there’s a teammate that’s been hard on everybody else, it’s me because I expect everyone to be at their best.”
“It’s great to win, and I’m looking forward to keep building as a team,” he continued. “I think we have a great opportunity in front of us.”
