The Indiana Pacers had one of the most historic and incredible run in the 2024-25 season but after disastrous end to the NBA Finals dance when Tyrese Haliburton got injured and a shocking summer when long-time player Myles Turner decided to leave them, many doubt they achieve something similar.

General manager Chad Buchanan acknowledge that Haliburton’s season-long absence will make things hard for them. However, he refuses to accept that idea that they can just give away this season. He believes they can still be competitive despite all the ugly developments.

“We’d never wish away a season,” he said.

“We’ve got so many opportunities for some players on our team that weren’t there before, and we’re excited to see what they can do. And I think this team has shown that they come together when people kind of doubt them.”

He then declared that Pacers can achieve anything.

“We’re still going to have a lot of the same identity. I wouldn’t put a limit on anything for this year.”

Pacers squad is fractured but they are ready to fight just like they did last season.

Leading them is their star forward Pascal Siakam who was also the Eastern Conference Finals MVP. Andrew Nembhard will slide as the main point guard with Haliburton on sick bay while Bennedict Mathurin will be their shooting guard now.

The frontcourt will be manned by Isaiah Jackson, Obi Toppin, and Jay Huff who they signed over the summer. Aaron Nesmith will play no. 3 in a starting role.

Personnel from the bench are second year man Johnny Furphy, hustler TJ McConnell, Jarace Walker, and Ben Sheppard.
