The Indiana Pacers took control for most of the way in earning a 111-100 victory in Detroit. Committed just nine turnovers while holding Pistons to 39% shooting.
The Pacers dominated most of the game and scored another away victory, their ninth in the last 10 away from Indianapolis. A really big win in terms of standings against a direct opponent in conference position.
Myles performance against Detroit
Pacers center Myles Turner went for 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field, nailing a career-high eight three-pointers. He tied with Spurs center Victor Wembanyama for the most threes in a game by a center this season.
His performance helped the Pacers pull off a much-needed win to keep them very much in the top six of the Eastern Conference. Turner’s shooting was a game-changer tonight.
Turner as a basketball player and Pacers defense
He is one of the best three and D centers in the league. Turner is also one of the best non-all-star players and has been for a minute.
Myles Turner on the strides being made on this Pacers defense: “I think we’re starting to trust each other a lot more. That’s really what it is. We’re flying around, having each other’s backs. It makes the game a lot easier.“
