Myles Turner has (almost) always been the subject of trade rumors throughout his nine-year NBA career, yet he is still a member of the Indiana Pacers heading into Year 10.

Despite having a reputation as one of the league’s most feared defenders because of his elite rim-protecting ability, Turner admitted that the trade rumors have affected him to a certain extent, so much so that he remains anxious about what will happen to him in the future.
“I can’t help but laugh. I’m gonna keep it a stack. Every year at Indiana has been a contract year at this point, whether you’re fighting rumors or staying true to your grind and whatnot. I don’t really feel too much different,” Turner said in an interview with Indystar, via HoopsHype.

To Turner’s point, he is approaching his contract year with the Indiana Pacers anew. He will earn roughly $20 million this upcoming season before hitting unrestricted free agency in the summer of 2025.
Centers that can space the floor and block shots are coveted in the market, and if he has another good year in Indiana, Myles Turner can command a big payday soon.
Myles Turner is an important member of the Indiana Pacers
Myles Turner is coming off a solid 2023-24 campaign with the Indiana Pacers, averaging 17.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.9 blocks on 52.4 percent shooting from the field in 77 regular season appearances, and he posted similar norms during the playoffs.

The Indiana Pacers made it to their first Eastern Conference Finals since 2014 but lost to the Boston Celtics in four games.
He, Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, Aaron Nesmith, Obi Toppin, TJ McConnell, and Andrew Nembhard form one of the most underrated cores in the NBA today.
