A fight broke out between the Indiana Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets during the fourth quarter of last night’s game. With 4:48 left in the game, Bennedict Mathurin hit a layup for the Indiana Pacers, then Trendon Watford ran toward Andrew Nembhard and shoved him. Myles Turner confronted Watford, and Watford shoved him, prompting other players and team officials to intervene. Fortunately, the scuffle did not escalate.

The referees called a double technical on Watford and Nembhard and to Watford and Turner. The Brooklyn Nets forward was subsequently ejected from the match.
Brooklyn led 84-79 when the incident occurred. Indiana forced overtime by going on a 12-7 run in regulation, and they won 105-99 after the extra period.

The Indiana Pacers notched their fifth win in their last six, while the Brooklyn Nets have lost five of their last six.
Indiana Pacers News: Myles Turner gets real about his scuffle with Trendon Watford
Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner believes his scuffle with Trendon Watford will toughen the team ahead of the playoffs. They are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-29 record.

“We’re preparing for the playoffs,” Turner said via The Associated Press. “You’re going to have moments like that in the playoffs. So to be battle-tested, let it not be a surprise and be able to control your emotions when everything’s high — that’s an underrated thing in this league.”
Myles Turner did well against Brooklyn, recording 23 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks on an efficient 8-for-11 shooting from the field in 40 minutes.
