The Indiana Pacers are now just one loss away from elimination. They face the Boston Celtics on Monday night in Game 4 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse as the Pacers look to avoid an embarrassing Western Conference Finals sweep against a powerhouse Celtics side.
Unfortunately for Indiana, they might need to battle it out on Monday without their best player available.
Indiana Pacers News: Tyrese Haliburton Unlikely to Play in Game 4
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a bombshell on Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton’s injury status just hours before Monday’s tip-off. According to the renowned NBA guru, the Pacers superstar is likely to sit out Game 4 as well:
“It is unlikely that Tyrese Haliburton plays in Game 4,” Woj said. “He has not yet been ruled out… Down 3-0, you’re trying to measure the risk of putting him out there.”

Haliburton was unable to suit up in Game 3 due to a hamstring problem, and the Pacers struggled without their star point guard. They ended up on the losing end of a hard-fought battle, 114-111, as they fell to 3-0 in the series.
As Woj implied in his report above, the Pacers are looking like they will be erring on the side of caution on the Haliburton front, especially considering how they have an extremely small chance of getting out of this series against Boston. It just doesn’t make sense to risk Haliburton’s long-term health at this point.
UPDATE: Haliburton has now officially been ruled out for Monday’s clash:
