“I Think About It Every Time I Blink” – Indiana Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton Drops Eye-Opening Revelation on His Achilles Injury

Tyrese Haliburton recently opened up about his recovery from the Achilles injury he sustained during Game 7 of last season’s NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Indiana Pacers star said he is closer to his return to playing shape.

“I think about it every time I blink. I think about it all the time,” Haliburton told The Athletic. “I don’t know if I’ll ever not think about it, but you gotta understand that you’ve got to move on.”

“There’s days where time feels like it’s flying by,” he continued. “And there’s days where it feels like they can’t move any slower. I go through the ebbs and flows of it, but I feel really good. It’s been good for me to kind of be away a little bit, but I’m progressing really well. I’m really excited about my progress.”

Haliburton’s devastating injury has left an apparent void for the Indiana Pacers. Without him, the team looks far from the NBA Finals contender that they were a few months ago, as they’re at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a 9-32 record.

Indiana Pacers News: Jade Jones lauds Tyrese Haliburton’s demeanor during rehab

Jade Jones has been a constant in Tyrese Halliburton’s life, and she believes that the Indiana Pacers guard will bounce back stronger from his Achilles tear due to his determination and positive outlook.

“Tyrese is so easy to support because he’s just a happy human being,” Jones said of Haliburton. “There are hard days, and I just feel like we’re trying to focus on what we can control in the situation and what we can look forward to… He was so excited to come home and tell me that he shot a free throw. We can’t control his injury, but we’ve accepted it for what it is.”

Haliburton proposed to Jones in July 2025, barely a month after the former lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. The two have been a couple since 2019.
