Tyrese Haliburton recently broke his silence on Myles Turner’s surprising free agency departure from the Indiana Pacers to join the Milwaukee Bucks on a four-year, $107 million deal this summer.

According to Haliburton, Myles Turner did what is best for himself and his family, so he doesn’t hold a grudge for his former Indiana Pacers teammate.
“Good question. I’m happy for the man,” Haliburton said on Self Made Sessions. “The thing about the NBA is, there’s only so many of us. You want to see dudes get paid, you want to see dudes be able to take care of their families. I don’t hold a grudge.”

“He’s able to do that. He’s a guy I got to play alongside for a long time, and we grew a great relationship. Obviously, seeing him go to Milwaukee, I don’t like to see that. I don’t want to see him in Milwaukee,” he added.
Indiana Pacers Rumors: Bennedict Mathurin seeks huge raise in extension talks, per insider
Bennedict Mathurin is entering the final year of his rookie deal with the Indiana Pacers, where he’ll make roughly $9.2 million, before becoming a restricted free agent in the summer of 2026.

According to Jake Fischer of the Insider Notebook, Mathurin is hoping to be paid around $20 to $30 million a year, which is similar to what this year’s RFAs, such as Jonathan Kuminga, Josh Giddey, Cam Thomas, and Quentin Grimes, are seeking.
In his third full season with the Indiana Pacers, Mathurin averaged 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on 45.8 percent shooting from the field across 72 regular season games. The Canadian international is expected to assume a larger role next season, with Tyrese Haliburton out due to a torn Achilles.
