According to her Instagram story, former Arizona Wildcats point guard Jada Williams visited Iowa after entering the transfer portal. Last season, Williams averaged 12.7 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 2.9 APG, and 1.6 SPG.

Williams would blossom at Iowa under its offensive system and coaching staff, although her numbers were not good this season. Iowa needs a point/combo guard who can handle the ball like her. From Skim Milkey’s Twitter, Baylor and Iowa State are also in play.
Jada will enter her junior year during the upcoming season, which is ideal for her to contribute on the court while also mentoring the incoming freshman class in the 2026-2027 academic year. This class is expected to include several high-profile recruits. Williams has two years of eligibility remaining.
Skills and Characteristics That Jada Possess

Williams exhibits a remarkable combination of speed and tenacity, demonstrating a competitive spirit that is essential for success in challenging environments. Her defensive capabilities are impressive, showcasing her ability to significantly impact the game. Furthermore, her strong personality indicates a potential for future leadership, positioning her as a valuable asset to any team.
Williams committed to the UCLA Bruins in March 2021; however, she subsequently altered her commitment in August 2022. It will be interesting to observe her future destination, as Iowa is renowned for fostering a positive team culture and she can showcase her offensive skills and impact for a program that has not been able to be show it after Fever point guard Catlin Clark.
