Detroit Pistons forward-center Isaiah Stewart had some choice words for Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner last Thursday. The two players had some heated exchange after the Pacers handed the Pistons their 20th loss this season with a final score of 111-100.
Following the sounding of the final buzzer, tensions rose between some players from both teams, leading to a verbal joust. X user @legendz_nba was able to transcribe what Stewart apparently said to Turner after the game.
“You play with LEGOs, you fruity a** n****. You play with LEGOs,” Isaiah Stewart allegedly said.

Before the tensions could reach even greater heights, Pistons forward and 13-year veteran Tobias Harris stepped in to pull his teammate away. Meanwhile, Turner, who is known for his calm demeanor, simply shrugged Stewart’s trash-talking.

An AFOL (adult fan of LEGO), Turner is proud of his passion for collecting and building these interlocking brick toys. He has frequently shared pictures and videos of his extensive LEGO collection on his Instagram account. His collection includes sets based on Star Wars, Back to the Future, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Harry Potter, Super Mario, and more.

Myles Turner played a key role in the Pacers’ victory last Thursday, finishing the game with 28 points, shooting 8-for-11 from beyond the three-point line. He also contributed three rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.

Meanwhile, Stewart focused on rebounding, grabbing 13. He also tallied two points, four assists, one steal, and one block in the loss.
Indiana currently holds a 2-1 lead over Detroit in their four game regular-season series, with the final contest between them scheduled on Jan. 29.
Isaiah Stewart’s hot-headedness is nothing new
Isaiah Stewart has a history of talking trash to his opponents, so the incident with Myles Turner is nothing new. He is not afraid to get physical, either, even at the risk of being penalized.

The forward-center got into it with LA Lakers superstar LeBron James during the 2021-22 season. King James accidentally hit Stewart in the eye with his elbow, causing the Pistons star to bleed. Ignoring James’ apology, Stewart attempted to chase the Lakers star to retaliate, but was stopped by intervening officials.
Trade rumor: Isaiah Stewart linked to Charlotte Hornets
Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz recently proposed a hypothetical trade deal involving Detroit Pistons’ Isaiah Stewart. The Charlotte Hornets recently traded their backup big man Nick Richards to the Phoenix Suns and are looking to improve their front court, and the insider suggested that they make a deal with the Pistons.

In Swartz’ proposal, he suggested that the Hornets send Miles Bridges to the Pistons in exchange for Stewart, Tim Hardaway Jr., and a 2025 second-round pick.
Swartz wrote, “If the Hornets plan on keeping LaMelo Ball but still want to do a mini reset around him in what’s become a lost season, moving Bridges for some young talent, expiring money and a draft pick would be a huge win.”
Stewart is currently averaging 5.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists this season.
