Jalen Green is one of the few Iron-men in the league. Things turned out different when he moved to the Phoenix Suns. The 24-year-old guard failed to start the season and has played only six games so far after dealing a calf strain. He then suffered a hip contusion when he returned on January 30.

Green played all regular season games in the last two seasons and this is why he finds himself in a new territory having to wait and watch his teammates battle it out on the court.
“It’s been hard. It’s the most games I’ve missed in my life. Most time I’ve spent away from basketball while still working out and everything. Just not being able to play is hard for me,” he told reporters during practice (via Duane Rankin of AZ Central).
“That’s where I find a lot of my joy. Being out there on the floor and getting involved with the crowd and everything about it. It’s been a little difficult.”
He played in the Suns’ latest game against the Philadelphia 76ers and scored eight points on 2 out of 6 shooting.

Jalen Green’s trust issues
The number of shots he took is a lot lower than what he usually take. Green explained that the injury still haunts him mentally.
“I feel myself being a little cautious with, like, certain drives I could’ve attempted,” he continued.
“Just thinking about it. Something that you don’t want to happen again. No one wants to be injured. There’s times I think about it or I could’ve drove. I’m hesitant, but like I said, that’s going to go out the window when I get some games under my belt and become unconscious and forget about it.”

The Suns will play the Dallas Mavericks next and latest injury report suggests that Green, alongside recently-recovered Devin Booker, might be available.
