Actress and fashion designer Draya Michele, Houston Rockets shooting guard Jalen Green’s girlfriend, has broken her silence on the allegations made by Laura Govan, former NBA player Gilbert Arenas’ ex. Govan accused Michele of having a casual affair with Arenas.
Govan, who was Michele’s former castmate on the reality TV show “Basketball Wives LA,” said she learned of Michele’s alleged affair with her ex after she allegedly found papers at her house suggesting that the three-time NBA All-Star brought Michele to LA and paid her $25,000.
In an act of defense, Jalen Green’s girlfriend posted a series of Instagram stories claiming that she met Gilbert Arenas when he was still not married. She would also talk about her time with Govan on the reality show and how she intends to deal with the issue moving forward.
“I didn’t mess with anyone’s husband. Let’s be clear that no one was married. Let’s also be clear that the interactions I had with him (Arenas) were years before I was on the show,” Michele said in one of the stories.
Jalen Green and Draya Michele have a daughter, born on May 12 this year. Gilbert Arenas and Laura Govan dated between 2002 and 2014, and have four children together.

Jalen Green’s age gap with Draya Michelle: a “people’s problem”
Not only is Jalen Green’s girlfriend Draya Michele dealing with the Gilbert Arenas issue, she is also dealing with people who have problems with her relationship with the 22-year-old Houston Rockets guard, especially that there is a 17-year age difference between them and she is the more mature one.
In an ambush interview with TMZ Sports, the 39-year-old actress and fashion designer talked about her relationship with Jalen Green. She said their relationship, despite people’s aversion and negativity, is going strong.
“I don’t know what people’s problem is. Two adults being in love, I don’t know why that would rub people the wrong way. It’s kind of weird. Love is love at the end of the day,” she said.

Aside from welcoming a baby daughter last May, Jalen Green also recently signed a three-year, $106 million contract extension with the Rockets, giving the couple more good news to celebrate.
Green was the Rockets’ second-overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He was also the first player ever to be drafted from the G-League. Averaging 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in that season, he was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.
