“They Are Old Enough To Pursue Us”: Jalen Green’s Relationship With Draya Michele Gets Amber Rose’s Take

Jalen Green and his girlfriend Draya Michele have a 17-year age gap between them, with Green being the younger one of the pair. While many frown upon the thought of younger guys dating older women, model and TV personality Amber Rose has a different opinion.

Rose appeared on Thursday’s episode of Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, where they talked about various topics, including her career and her relationships. Sharpe asked Rose about the biggest age discrepancy she has had in a relationship where she was the older person, with the model chuckling before offering a response. The NFL icon then raised the topic of Green and Michele, and Rose shared her thoughts about the Rockets shooting guard’s love life.

“(Jalen Green) is a grown man,” Rose prefaced. “I think that the outrage is more so that (Draya Michele’s) son was the same age. My oldest [son] is 12, so, if my oldest was 22, I may feel different as a mother talking to a 22-year-old. I don’t know, I am not sure about that.”

The model continued, “I think they look beautiful together, they have a baby together, they seem very happy.”

“With girls my age, these young boys watched us for a long time and now that they’re old enough to pursue us and date us, and that’s why they’re on us like that. I wouldn’t date them and be serious with them, but I’d have my little fun and then I’d keep it moving. … All my exes… pic.twitter.com/H2KpEFinKe

Jalen Green and Draya Michele have drawn a lot of heat about their relationship due to their age gap. However, the couple has paid no mind to all their haters and continues to stay together.

Draya Michele writes heartfelt message for Jalen Green’s birthday

Jalen Green turned 23 on Feb. 9, and his girlfriend Draya Michele gave him a loving tribute in a social media post. She shared a picture of her with her Houston Rockets star boyfriend on her Instagram story.

“Happy birthday my love 1 of 1,” Michele said in her caption.

Jalen Green and Draya Michele have been dating since August 2023, and have a daughter born on May 12, 2024. Michele has two children from previous relationships: her older son, Kniko Howard, from an undisclosed partner, and her younger son, Jru, fathered by former NFL player Orlando Scandrick.

Green has transformed into a reliable perimeter shooter and is currently having a breakout season with the Rockets. The 2022 NBA All-Rookie player is averaging 21.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game this season.

Thanks to Green’s knack for shooting, the Rockets are currently the fifth seed in the Western Conference standings, holding a 38-25 record.
