Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum strikes at referees after not giving him a foul call after nearly getting injured in the match against the Milwaukee Bucks. Tatum, who attempted a three-point shot, had his foot treaded by Giannis Antetokounmpo, which resulted in his left ankle getting twisted.
The incident, which occurred during the 7:09 mark of the third quarter, caused Jayson Tatum to be temporarily out of the match. However, he returned shortly and continued playing without problems.
Tatum believed that the refs should’ve given a foul. Despite having a good match that night, he had a sore ankle, which persisted. In his post-game interview with NBC Sports, the star forward criticized the officials’ judgment and reminded them of their duty to handle the players.

“It’s a tough situation. But certain calls I feel like [referees] can’t miss. Your job is to protect the guys on the court, protect the shooter. That’s something I could’ve been out for six weeks… for it to be a no-call… that s**t is frustrating,” Tatum said.

Overall, Jayson Tatum continues to be in stabilized shape and is ready for his next match. Nevertheless, he is still frustrated about what happened. In X, the former Duke Blue Devils shared the clip showing the incident, captioning, “Smfh some calls you just not supposed to miss.”
The match against the Bucks saw the Celtics win 113-107. Tatum led his team with a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds. His team would face the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Cup on November 13.

Jayson Tatum and the Celtics scolds player for underconfidence
Jayson Tatum revealed that they had reprimanded their forward, Sam Hauser, for having a cold night against the Brooklyn Nets. Hauser, trusted by his players to make shots, often fails due to his reserved performance.
However, Hauser helped regain the Celtics’ lead minutes before the end of the fourth quarter by shooting a three-pointer with an assist from Tatum. This downtown shot was his second in the game, coming from eight missed attempts and another one in the first quarter.
NBC asked Tatum after the game about his reasons for passing the ball to Hauser. He then revealed how he trusts his teammate, despite his dubious confidence, to make a crucial shot in the game.
“No. Never. Ever. If Sam’s open, if he’s not open, we always want him to be a threat. Not necessarily like, ‘Shoot it every time,’ but we got we have so much confidence in Sam that we were mad at him when he missed it, and he was like mad at himself,” Tatum said.
The match against the Nets saw Hauser score eight points, four rebounds, and three assists and steals each. Meanwhile, Tatum scored 33 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
