Some Boston Celtics insiders reported floated the idea that Jayson Tatum might still be able to play this season. The six-time All-Star was diagnosed with an Achilles rupture which typically needs around 10 months to heal.

Tatum suffered the injury in last game of series with the New York Knicks. He had surgery the next day and immediately, the franchise prepared for the worst, most specifically the part where they won’t have him at all next season.

The insiders’ update got some fans excited but man remained calm as they still believed that JT will be out. However, some are feeling different this time – confused mostly – because of the latest update from the team. Celtics on CLNS is already working out and on the basketball court doing drills.

Confusion ensued among Boston and non-Boston fans after the video was posted.

i’m really trying to wrap my head around how this is even possible lol it hasn’t even been a full 5 months since the injury https://t.co/XhnaL61vos

Jayson Tatum thinks he’s feeling better than he’s ever been

That video workout is real and fans just gotta believe it. JT himself declared that he is back.

“It’s been a long journey but I’m working my tail off to get back,” he said.

Tatum is feeling great about himself after being subjected to full recovery program.

“I’m injured but ironically the rest of my body is as strong as it’s ever been.”

“I see a world in which I come back, and it’s like, Yo, my body has never felt this good, probably since I was like 19.”

Boston fans have something to look forward to although it is unclear if that will be this season or the next one as Tatum said he is more focused about full recovery than rushing things.

“Recovery timeline is too early to tell,” Tatum told E! News. “It may be this season. It may be next season—just most importantly, making a full recovery and being 100 percent when I do step back on the floor.”
