JB Bickerstaff Pushes Pistons After 13th Straight Win: ‘We Can’t Ever Feel Full or Satisfied’

The Detroit Pistons captured their 13th straight win of the 2025-26 NBA season against the Indiana Pacers on Monday. Cade Cunningham led the team with 24 points, 11 rebounds and six assists to push Detroit to a 122-117 victory. The East team has taken over the conference and is the biggest surprise for the campaign. After the win, the coach told reporters that he wants the team to be “greedier.”

The last time Detroit lost was in October. So far, the team hasn’t lost a game in November, and the month is almost coming to an end. Most of their games have been against East teams. The only Western Conference teams they’ve faced are the Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz.

Bickerstaff stated that he wants the team to maintain consistency on defense following the victory over the Pacers. Before the contest, Detroit was listed as the second-best defensive group. The head coach believes that the squad’s identity relies on their defense, and he wants them to stay aggressive on that end.

“I would like for us to be greedier. In the fourth quarter we let our guard down defensively and allowed them to make a run. Our defense is our identity … we can’t ever feel full or satisfied,” Bickerstaff said.

Even after winning 13 consecutive games, Bickerstaff isn’t relaxed. He knows the value of not taking things for granted and wants the team to focus on their game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.

“Our focus has to be on Wednesday, and then on practice and film tomorrow … but we don’t take it for granted by any means because we know how difficult these things are to come by. We have to focus on tomorrow,” he added.

Their game against the Celtics will be the last of their four-game road trip. They’ll return home and host the Orlando Magic on Friday for a one-game homestand.

Fans noticed the improvement from the Pistons this season. After beating the Pacers, fans revealed their thoughts on the team’s current streak.

“from 28 straight losses to 13 straight wins #growth” a fan said.

“Hot take: The pistons being 15-2 is more impressive than the thunder being 17-1,” another fan commented.

“cade cunningham should be top 3 in MVP conversations,” one fan said.

“Legitimate contenders in the Eastern Conference… Cade is going after possibly 2nd team All-NBA,” someone commented.

“Cade deserves to be in the MVP discussion more,” a fan commented.

“Just not too long ago they were losing 13 in a row,” someone pointed out.
