Jimmy Butler has been in the news recently as a result of his seven-game suspension by the Miami Heat. The Heat did not give much information about the suspension, other than the fact that the player’s conduct was detrimental to the team. Recently, NBA insider Jake Fischer discussed exactly this on Monday’s episode of the ‘Stein Line’.

Apparently, the entire team was frustrated with Butler’s behaviors, both on and off the court. Even Kyle Lowry, who spent two seasons with the Miami Heat, grew tired of Butler’s behavior, as per Fischer.

“Sources say even Lowry, who remains as close away from the court as anyone to Butler, gradually grew fatigued by his teammate’s headstrong tendencies on the floor. Currently in his second season with his hometown Philadelphia 76ers, Lowry declined to comment last week when an interview was requested.” Jake Fischer said on the Stein Line.

Jimmy Butler reportedly skipped the Miami Heat shootarounds and requested to fly on private planes away from his teammates, per @JakeLFischer

Apart from not being on his best behavior with his teammates in the Miami Heat squad, Jimmy Butler also chose to practice individualistic behavior like taking private jets instead of the team flights to games. Furthermore, Butler also frequently missed practice sessions with his team, irking the other players even more.

Five games are already over in Butler’s suspension, and the player’s fans can expect to see him pretty soon on the hardwood floor. Currently, the Miami Heat are ranked seventh in the Eastern Conference with 20 wins and 18 defeats this season. In their latest matchup without Butler, the Heat played against the Los Angeles Clippers and lost the game with a final score of 109-98.

Jimmy Butler Should Be Let Go As Per Theo Pinson And Raymond Felton

Jimmy Butler’s arrogant behavior with the Miami Heat was also discussed by former basketball player, Theo Pinson, who spoke about this in a recent podcast episode with Raymond Felton. According to Pinson, the Miami Heat should simply let Butler go and move on. To this, Felton full-on agreed, who went on to say that the player has ‘mentally checked out from the team’.

Furthermore, Felton went on to say that keeping Jimmy Butler in the team would only put the entire unit’s morale in danger. If Butler were to be in fact let go by the Miami Heat, he might find a potential fit with the Phoenix Suns as per the pair. Pinson and Felton are, of course, not the only ones who criticized Butler for his unprofessional behavior with the Miami Heat squad. Others including Tim Hardaway Sr. and Pat Riley also called Butler out recently.
